Emars Wavepool is one of the two inland
resorts in Davao City that offers guests the wavepool. (the other one is
D'Leonor Inland Resort, which also owns Emars). That is you'll be swimming on a swimming pool
with artificial waves created by a machine.
It is a very beautiful inland resort in the heart of the city.
It was kinda difficult to find
information about Emars Wavepool such as their amenities, entrance fees,
cottage fees etc. First, their Facebook Page is not updated and second, the
phone numbers posted on that page does not work anymore. I decided to make this
blog post not only to showcase how beautiful Emars Wavepool Inland Resort is,
but also for blog readers who are planning to spend some time in the resort.
Emars Wavepool Resort is located
in Times Beach Matina Davao City. The resort is just about 1.5 kilometers from
SM City Davao through Ecoland Drive-Matina Aplaya Road. If you go there thru a
jeepney from downtown area, just ride Ecoland-SM route jeepney up to the area where
you can see a tricycle terminal, right before the jeepney turn right to enter
SM City Davao. You then ride tricycle going to Emars Wavepool.
Emars Wavepool has 2 large-sized swimming pool and 1 medium sized for the kids. The deepest part of the pool is 5-feet, but it can reach up to 7-feet when the wave-making machine is operated. The kid's pool is just perfect for kids. It got some slides for kids to enjoy.

The entrance fee for both adults and kids (3
yrs above) is 200. The resort's cottage, or the cabana as they call it are
concrete with tiled flooring, making it looked elegant and spacious, taking
into mind guests with large numbers. Single Cabana (15 pax) costs 500 with
Double Cabana (25 pax) costs 1000 pesos. For those who are 4 people or less,
there is also available tables and monobloc chairs for only 250 pesos. The resort also has corkages for foods and drinks that you'll bring. Below are the corkages for the foods and drinks.
Overall, Emars Wavepool is a beautiful resort. It is the
perfect place for your typical group outing with friends and families; be it
summer or christmas outing. The place is so secure, you can see lifeguards in
the pool area all the time. The cottages
are also well-designed and elegant looking. The distance from each cottage is
just perfect as you can move and talk freely without disturbing the other
guests. Kids will definitely love this place! It's a bit expensive, but it is
definitely worth it. Emars Wavepool is open from 9 A.M to 9 P.M daily. If you want to stay in the place overnight, you need to check-in to their hotel. Hotel rates are posted below.
