Discover Davao City: Loleng's Mountain Spring Resort
It is officially the start of summer season according to PAG-ASA. This means that the time for summer outing has officially begun (though lots of people were already spending their summer vacation in their favorite resorts way early than the announcement). Well if still you haven’t decided as to where to go on an outing with your family or friends, and you’re on a tight budget or don’t want to travel out of town, then Loleng’s Mountain Spring Resort is definitely worth a try.
Loleng's Grill |
Loleng’s is the among the best summer destinations in Davao City as it combines resort and nature experience. I’ve been in this place only once (Christmas party with my friends), but that experience was very memorable. Want to know more about this beautiful and relaxing resort? Then read the rest of this post.
Loleng’s Mountain Spring Resort is located at Eden Bayabas Toril Davao City. It is about 30 minutes ride from downtown Davao. It is located 3,000 feet above sea level. It is a little bit far from the city proper, but trust me, it is really worth the travel. The road going to the resort resembles that of a province where you can see lots of trees and farm animals (hence the word Mountain in its name). You can reach Loleng’s Mountain Spring Resort by riding a toril-route jeepney, and then riding a motorcycle that will bring to the resort’s entrance; but I suggest that you rent perhaps a jeepney for a back and forth ride.
Fishing and Boating Area |
Upon entering the large gate of the resort, you’ll find a very relaxing view of nature, with lots of tall trees (mostly pine trees) growing and surrounding the area. Here’s a trivia: Loleng’s is 95% man-made, thus making it an ideal model of re-creating nature and rebuilding the lost environment. Now for the resort’s amenities, you can find a large fishing as well as boating area, which makes a perfect bonding activity for family and friends. By the way you can buy and grill the fish you caught. There is also children’s playground for kids, a tennis and basketball courts and a chapel if you want to meditate and pray.

As for its swimming pool area, you can find 1 large swimming pool for adults and 1 small pool for kids. The adult pool is from 4-7 feet, while the kiddie pool is about 3 feet depth. The water in the swimming pool is very cold. It feels like it came from the freezer. That’s how I describe it. The entire pool area is very spacious and very near the cottage.

There are also function rooms for group of people who are planning to have team bonding. Overall, the resort land area is very large and clean. You can even host parlor games (just like what we did with my friends in our Christmas outing) or any other events in children’s playground. Check out the pictures posted for the amenities.
Function Rooms |
Cottages and dormitories are available for those who are planning to stay overnight. There are also security guards within the resort to ensure the guests safety all the time. As far as I can remember, the entrance fee is only 100 pesos per person, and another 50 pesos for the swimming pool. Pool-side cottage are free to use. Foods such as lechon and softdrinks have corkage.

Loleng’s Mountain Spring Resort is the perfect place if you are looking for affordable, but beautiful and relaxing destination this summer. Not only you will enjoy the ice-cold water in their swimming pool, you’ll also feel relaxed and relieve through its nature-like environment. I highly recommend this place, for its cost, accessibility and what the resort has to offer to its guests.
