Davao City and the rest of Mindanao serviced by Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) will continue to experience rotational brownouts starting next week; March 7 - March 13, 2016.

Power supply situation update for today, March 4, 2016

Duration of the rotating power interruptions is projected to be within 1 to 1.5 hours.

Reasons:

Mindanao-grid deficit for today is at 80 MW due to:
- the low capacity of NPC-PSALM hydropower plants caused by El Nino

- some collapsed NGCP towers still not fixed; To date, 16 NGCP towers were bombed since November 2015 - source: philstar
