among buffet houses and restaurants in Davao City. We’ll talk more about Green
Buffet: reviews and my experience eating in this restaurant after the break, so
stay tuned.
How to Get To Green Buffet Haus?
Green Buffer
Haus, or simply Green Buffet is located at Pelayo Street Corner General Luna Street
Davao City. It is a two-storey building that can easily be recognize them
through the huge green signage outside the establish. The location is very
accessible since it is in downtown Davao, just about 20-30 mins ride from the
Davao airport. The restaurant is near
the Apo View Hotel and UCCP church.

Food
Green Buffet
is among the best in food/price
combination among the restaurants in the city. They offer very delicious
viands, desserts, appetizers, etc. The food presentation and smell are really
mouth-watering. I’ve been to this restaurant many times already, but the aroma
and taste of their foods never failed me – not even once.
Green Buffet serves about 10 to 12 types of viands; a combination of chicken,
pork, seafood, vegetables and soup. They are also serving 2 types of rice:
plain rice and fried rice (of different variation from time to time). I highly
recommend their fried shrimps, pork adobo, chicken fillet and chupsuey.
Main Course Section |
Ready For Battle |
There is als the
appetizers and salad area where you can make your own healthy coleslaw or
lettuce salad. Very healthy isn’t it? They also have fried eggplant, fish
crackers, boiled okra and everyone’s favorite sliced green mangoes with bagoong
sauce.
Appetizers |
Lastly, the
desserts section. They have sliced fruits such as pineapple and watermelon, as
well as ripe bananas for those who love to eat fruits after a heavy meal. There are also “palamig” like sago’t gulaman,
mais con yelo, etc. as well as cakes and pinoy delicacies such as maja blanca,
sapin-sapin, palitaw, and more; served in bite sizes.
Desserts |
All in all,
their foods and desserts are very delicious, comparable to that of more
expensive buffet restaurants. The way their foods are presented are also very
clean and very appealing. Honestly when we eat there, I usually eat at least 4
plates full: a testament as to how delicious their foods are.
Services and Interiors
Inside the
Green Buffet Haus is just an average sized restaurant that can cater about 200
individuals at most. There are about 40 tables of different sizes. Though I
like those wooden tables and chairs for they look beautiful, those plastic
tables and monobloc chairs are just plain and simple. It would be great if they
make all their tables and chairs just like the wooden ones. Overall, the
interiors of the restaurant is just very simple.
Final Words and Verdict
Well except
for that ugly looking plastic long tables and chairs, and mediocre service from
the crew, Green Buffet Haus is definitely worth a try. Their foods are very
delicious, aromatic, and very flavorful. In fact, their food are not that far
in terms of taste and presentation to that of more expensive buffet houses such
as Probinsya or Buffet Palace.
At 148 per person (exclusive of drinks), Green
Buffet is indeed “sulit” and will satisfy your hunger. Green Buffet is open for
lunch 10 am to 2pm, and for dinner 6 pm to 10 pm. I can give this restaurant 4 out 5 rating, and will definitely come back to this restaurant from time to time. Highly recommended!
By the way,
Green Buffet also provides catering services as well as reservations for
various occasions. For inquiries, you may call 300-1860 or just pay a visit to
the restaurant during business hours.
