It's the month of August once again, which means that Dabawenyos will once again celebrate Kadayawan, dubbed as the "festival of festivals". It is a week-long festival in celebration of life and thanksgiving for a bountiful harvest by various tribes in the region. On it's 29th year, Kadayawan bears the theme " Kalamboan sa Kinaiyahan: Kadayawan sa Katawhan" (Nature's Flourishing: People's Well Being), which aims at promoting taking good care of our mother nature as the source of people's prosperity.

Just like the previous years, tourists; both local and foreign, as well as local residents will definitely come and witness the various events organized by the city government. And just like the past years, the highlights of the celebration will be the "Indak-Indak sa Kadalanan", "Hiyas ng Kadayawan" and the "Floral Float Parade".
