30th Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival 2015 Opening Ceremonies Part 1

August 17, 2015 was the scheduled opening of the week-long celebration of the 30th Kadayawan Festival. The opening ceremonies, dubbed as Pagbukas: Opening of 30th Kadayawan sa Dabaw Festival was composed of 2 parts: first was the Ecumenical Mass at Rizal Park at 4:30 pm, then followed by the program for the opening ceremony at 6 pm. Mayor Duterte, together with Senator Alan Peter Cayetano were present at the program. 

However, the program was halted just minutes after it started because of the heavy rains, making those who witnessed the program, including the visitors and VIPs. The kadayawan committee in-charge of the program decided to postpone the program and move it to August 20, 2015, together with the Kadayawan street party, which was schedule right after the opening ceremonies.
