Kung Hei Fat Choi 2016 Chinese New Year Countdown Celebration in Davao City
Today our Chinese brothers and
sisters are celebrating their Chinese New Year 2016, the Year of the Fire
Monkey. Chinese community and people in
Davao City welcomed Year of the Fire Monkey with a New Year countdown
celebration at Rizal Park in Downtown Davao City. The program started at 6 p.m.
until midnight. It was a fun event witnessed by thousands of both Chinese and
non-Chinese Davaoenos. There were also lots of Chinese lucky charms, prosperity
symbols and tikoys sold as well. There is also the famous dragon and lion dance. No fireworks display also during and for the whole duration of Chinese New Year in Davao City because of the Anti Firecracker Ordinance.
